MPBA FAST ELECTRIC RACING CLASSES

MONO 1:   Any surface drive mono-hull / any motor.
Lithium polymer powered 2s1p only with maximum weight of 280 grams or 3s2p A123 cells (2300Mah)
Race time 6 minutes plus 10 second mill time.

MONO 2: Any surface drive mono-hull, any motor.
12 NimH cells or 4 Lithium polymer cells (4s1p) only, maximum weight of 560 grams, (minimum 281 grams) or 6s2p A123 cells (2300Mah)
Race time 6 minutes plus 10 second mill time.

SUPER-MONO: Any hull, except riggers or hydros, any motor
5S - 8S Lithium polymer cells weight limit 1120 grams (140 grams per cell). Race time 6 minutes plus 10 second mill start. Maximum of 4 boats per heat and drivers must have at least 1 full year's competitive racing experience which needs to be confirmed with a committee member.

HYDRO 1: Any hydroplane / rigger or tunnel hull - surface drive - any motor.
2s lipo cells max weight 280g or 3s2p A123 cells max capacity 4600 (2x2300mah)
Race time 5 minutes plus 10 second mill time.

HYDRO 2: Any hydroplane - rigger or tunnel hull - surface drive - 12 sub 'C' cells
4s lithium polymer cells max weight 560g or 6s2p A123 cells Max capacity 4600mah(2x 2300mah)
Race time 5 minutes plus 10 second mill time.

MINI-MONO: Any surface drive mono hull with any motor.
Hull length not to exceed 450mm excluding hardware. 2S1P lithium polymer cells with a weight limit of 110grams.  

MINI-HYDRO: Any hydroplane or 'cat' with any motor and
Hull length not to exceed 450mm, excluding hardware. 2S1P Lithium polymer cells not exceeding 110grams. Race time 5 minutes plus 10 second mill time.

SUPER-CAT: Any tunnel hull or catamaran, single or twin drive system.
5s to 8s Lipo with any motor - cell weight limit 1120 (140gms per cell) Race time 6 minutes with 10 second mill time. Please Note that 'scale' hydros will be able to run in this class with up to 6s lipos within the class weight limit of 1120 grams.

ECO EXPERT: Any mono-hull with sub surface drive system.
2s1p Lipo or 3s 1p A123 Max capacity 4600  with any motor - cell weight limit 280grams. Race time 6 minutes.

MINI-ECO: Any submerged drive mono hull with any motor.
2S1P lithium polymer cells not exceeding weight of 110grams. Maximum hull length - 450mm. Race time 5 minutes.

FORMULA 1: Any mono-hull with submerged drive system.
4s 2p lipo - cell limit 560grams with any motor. Race time 6 minutes.
